Questions
Which photos work best?
A sharp photo where faces are clearly visible. For animation, a photo of one person facing the camera works best. Old prints work great: scan them right in the app.
Is the result the real person?
Results are created by AI. Restoration and colorization are an interpretation of the original, not a historical record, and an animation is an artistic recreation, not real footage. Small details can differ from the original.
How long does it take?
A photo is usually ready in under a minute, a video in a minute or two. You can leave the app while it works; it lets you know when the memory is ready.
Can I upload photos of other people?
Only photos you have the right to use, such as your own family photos. Don't upload photos of public figures or of people who wouldn't agree. See the terms of use.
Do I need an account?
No. The app creates an anonymous profile automatically. Your credits and subscription are tied to it; purchases can be restored through Google Play.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. Nostalgio is currently available for Android.
